Marriage has been in decline for decades, affecting families and children in many ways. Examining the nature of this problem will help equip leaders to think creatively about ways to address it.

About the Speaker
| Peter Jon Mitchell is a senior researcher at the Institute of Marriage and Family Canada. His recent study, The Marriage Gap Between Rich and Poor Canadians, reveals a strong link between marriage and wealth in Canada. Peter Jon studies how marriage and family formation affects the welfare of Canadians, including outcomes for children. His prior hands-on experience working with youth helps to inform his research on family issues, including parental influence on teen sexual choices and bullying. |
